Showcase  and Cinema de Lux £50,000 Film Critic Challenge
Official Rules:

NO PURCHASE REQUIRED to play or to win. YOU HAVE NOT YET WON! A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. Void where prohibited or restricted by law or regulation. Internet access and a valid email address are required to enter online. Free internet access is available at many public libraries, while free email addresses are typically available from google.com, yahoo.com or similar web sites. Entrants will need a code found on the front of each Showcase or Cinema de Lux  £50,000 Film Critic Challenge game card distributed at participating Showcase or Cinema de Lux  locations between 1/02/10-4/03/10 (while supplies last).

1) Eligibility: Participation open to legal United Kingdom residents 16 years of age or older at the time of entry. . Employees, officers, and directors (including immediate family members of Promoter, Administrators and each of their affiliated companies, subsidiaries, licensees, distributors, dealers, retailers, printers, Individuals engaged in the development, production or distribution of materials, their advertising and promotion agencies, and any and all other companies associated with the promotion are not eligible to participate. Void where prohibited by law.

2) Agreement to Official Rules: By participating in this Promotion, each entrant agrees to abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Administrators, which are final and legally binding as they pertain to this Contest. All entries become the property of the Promoter.

3) Timing: Promotion starts at 12:01 am Eastern Time (“ET”) on Monday, 1 February 2010 and ends 11:59 pm ET on Thursday, 4 March 2010 (the "Promotion Period"). The clock maintained by the Administrators in connection with the operation of the Promotion at the promotion website (the “Website”) will be the official timekeeper for this Promotion.

4) How to Enter and Play:
a) Enter The Grand Prize Sweepstakes: You may enter the Grand Prize Sweepstakes by completing the Official Entry Form during the Promotion Period at www.showcasecinemas.co.uk and clicking on the game icon or banner. Complete the online Registration form and click “submit”. Registration may include the following: Entry code, full name, complete address, age, email address, and telephone number. After you have submitted your registration, you will automatically be entered into the Grand Prize Sweepstakes. LIMIT: One Sweepstakes entry over the course of the Promotion Period per person or email address. LIMIT: One prize per person or dwelling. Drawings & Winner Selection: A random Sweepstakes drawing will be conducted on or about Monday, 8 March 2010 from all valid entries received. The Sweepstakes drawing will be under the control of the Administrators whose decisions shall be final and legally binding as they pertain to this Sweepstakes. Winner will be notified within 10 days of the drawing via phone, email, mail or express mail whichever is appropriate. Failure to reply to this prize winning notification within 10 days of notification to claim prize, will disqualify the entry and an alternative winner will be selected from all eligible entries received for the Sweepstakes. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. Incomplete, illegible or mutilated entries will be automatically disqualified. No responsibility is assumed for lost, late, misdirected, damaged, altered, postage due or illegible entries. Any attempted form of entry other than as described herein is void. Administrators and or Promoter will determine in it sole discretion what constitutes a valid entry.
b) The £50,000 Critic Challenge Contest: During the Promotion Period, visit at www.showcasecinemas.co.uk click on contest icon or banner to complete the online Registration form and click “submit”.  Registration may include the following: Entry code, full name, complete address, age, email address, and telephone number. After you have submitted your registration, you will automatically advance to the contest page to select your twenty (20) Academy Award® category winners. LIMIT: One (1) entry per person and per email.  
c) How to enter your category picks: The contest page will contain twenty (20) Academy Awards® categories. Nineteen (19) categories will contain five (5) picks and one (1) category will offer ten (10) picks. The objective of the Contest is to correctly pick all twenty (20) category winners. Each correct pick will receive one (1) point. A winner will be the entrant that receives 20 points. Correct answers to each category will be determined by the results of the 2010 Academy Awards® television broadcast scheduled for 7 March 2010.
No prize will be awarded on any contest submission that is not recorded on the Administrators contest server. No screen shots of any kind will be allowed as proof of submission of any contest entry. No other claims will be valid utilizing or duplicating the winning game results. In the event of a dispute as to any online entry, the authorized account holder of the email address used to enter will be deemed to be the entrant. The "authorized account holder" is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. Potential winners may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder.

Sweepstakes Grand Prize Winner and Contest Grand Prize Winner Notification: The Grand Prize winner(s) and winners of any prize valued at $600 or more will be required to complete and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and a Liability/Publicity Release form which must be signed by the Winner and received by Promoter or its designated agent within ten (10) days of the date printed on the notification or otherwise or the prize will be forfeited. If the Winner is under the age of majority, a parent or legal guardian will be required to execute the Affidavit of Eligibility and a Liability/Publicity Release form on the Winner's behalf. Prizes won by a minor, will be awarded in the name of a parent of legal guardian, for the benefit of the minor.

Sweepstakes Grand Prize:
Five (5) Grand Prizes: Annual Pass: Valid at any participating  Showcase or Cinema de Lux  location. Expires 31/12/2010.  Each Annual Pass is courtesy admission for two (2). £754
Showcase or Cinema de Lux  £50,000 Film Critic Challenge Grand Prize:
One prize of £50,000 available to be won should an entrant correctly pick all twenty (20) winners in the Academy Awards® categories offered in this contest.  Should there be more than one winner; the prize will be shared equally.
PRIZE NOTE: The winners of each of the twenty (20) categories will be based on the results of the 7 March 2010 scheduled broadcast of the Academy Awards®. In  the event the Academy awards® broadcast is cancelled due to weather, an act of God, an act of terrorism, civil disturbance or any other reason.  Promoter, reserves the right to cancel the Showcase or Cinema de Lux £50,000 Film Critic Challenge portion of this promotion. Each winner shall be solely responsible for all taxes, and the reporting consequences thereof, and for any fees or costs associated with the applicable prize. The Grand Prize winner(s) will be issued a Tax Reporting form at the end of the year.
PLEASE NOTE: Prizes are not transferable by winner. No substitution of prize or cash equivalent is permitted except by Promoters. 
Total approximate retail value of all prizes not to exceed £53,770.

6) ALL POTENTIAL WINNERS ARE SUBJECT TO VERIFICATION BY THE ADMINISTRATORS, WHOSE DECISIONS ARE FINAL AND LEGALLY BINDING. AN ENTRANT IS NOT A WINNER OF ANY PRIZE, UNTIL ENTRANT'S ELIGIBILITY AND THE POTENTIAL WINNING CATEGOREY PICKS HAVE BEEN VERIFIED AND ENTRANT HAS BEEN NOTIFIED THAT VERIFICATION IS COMPLETE. PROMOTER WILL NOT ACCEPT SCREEN SHOTS OR COPIES OF SCREEN CONTENT OR ANY OTHER EVIDENCE OF WINNING IN LIEU OF ITS VALIDATION PROCESS. ANY ENTRY THAT OCCURS AFTER THE SYSTEM HAS FAILED FOR ANY REASON IS DEEMED A DEFECTIVE PLAY AND IS VOID AND WILL NOT BE HONORED.

7) Potential Game Winners: ALL Potential winners must comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, or if notices or prizes are returned as undeliverable, that prize will become null and void and will not be awarded. If any prize is not awarded during the Promotion Period or remain unclaimed, that prize will become null and void and will not be awarded.

8) Publicity: Except where prohibited, participation in the Promotion constitutes winner's consent to Promoter's or agents use of winner's name, likeness, voice, opinions, biographical information, hometown and state for promotional purposes relating to the announcement of winners of the Promotion in any media without further payment or consideration.

9) General Conditions: Promoter and/or Administrators may cancel or modify the Promotion or these Official Rules if fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond their control impairs the integrity of the Promotion, as determined by Promoters and the Administrators in their sole discretion. In such event, Promoters may award the Sweepstakes prizes at random from among the eligible entries received up to the time of the impairment. The Grand Prize £50,000 Movie Critic Challenge may be cancelled in its entirety. Promoter and Administrators may, in their sole discretion, disqualify any individual they find to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Promotion or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules, or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Promoter and/or Administrators failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

10) Release: By entering entrant agrees to hold harmless and indemnify the Promoters, Administrators, Promotion Entities, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, dealers, directors, stock holders, officers, governors, employees and agents against any and all liability, damages or causes of action (however named or described), with respect to or arising out of either (i) entrant's participation; or (ii) the receipt or use of the prizes awarded in the promotion.

11) Limitations of Liability: Promoters, Administrators and the Promotion Entities are not responsible for, and entrant hereby releases Promoter, Administrators, and the Promotion Entities from any claims arising from: (i) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunctioning of any computer, cable, network, hardware or software; (ii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions or telephone or Internet service; (iii) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Promotion; (iv) electronic or human error which may occur in the administration of the Promotion or the processing of entries; or (v) any injury or damage to persons or property, including but not limited to entrant's computer, hardware or software, which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant's participation in the Promotion.

12) Disputes: Except where prohibited, entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Promotion or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively in the appropriate court located in the United Kingdom; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Promotion, but in no event attorneys' fees; and (3) unless otherwise prohibited, under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Promoters in connection with the Promotion shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the United Kingdom, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of  law rules (whether of the United Kingdom or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the United Kingdom.
13) Participants Personal Information: By entering into this promotion, each entrant agrees to Promoters’ and Promotion Entities’ use of his or her personal information as described in the website’s Privacy Policy of each (if any) and these official Rules. In the event of any discrepancy, these Official Rules shall control and govern. The personal information collected in this promotion may be shared with the Promotion Entities and other related parties participating in this promotion.
